Sunday April 30

A guided visit to look at an aspect of Eighteenth Century Art. This year’s focus is on the ‘Conversation Piece’ – a sub-genre of Portraits, with a focus on the work of George Romney.

This event is free. Meet inside the Waterwall at the National Gallery of Victoria at 2:15 for a 2:30 pm start.

Saturday July 22

Our Annual Seminar full day will be held at the Kathleen Syme Centre, 252 Faraday Street, Carlton on Saturday 22 July. Full program to come soon.

Sunday July 23rd 12:45 for a 1:00 pm start

Also at the Kathleen Syme Centre and part of Rare Book Week, John Byrne will be giving a talk “Johnson’s Dictionary: from Folio to Fopdoodle” on some of the strange words in the Dictionary that have fallen out of use.
